Those Times of Waiting

In May of 2007 we left our home in Dnipropetrovs'k, Ukrai ne.We were not sure of what the future held, including where we would settle down. God very graciously and generously provided for our family during our period of waiting and seeking His will for our next move.

On December 31st, 2009, we moved into our new home located in L'viv, Ukraine.Scripture tells us that God provides for His children. He has always provided so faithfully for all our needs. His provision has not always looked like what we wanted and His timing has not always fit into our timetable, but His provision has always been exactly what we needed and never late! Our new home is so much more than we ever expected or even asked for. Thank you all for your prayers!!

Some prayer requests:

  • New doors of opportunity.  I recently met with a man who is part of a student ministry organization.  He has offered to help us get our foot in the door at local universities for the English movie club, and a Bible study.
  • The same man knows some folks who are looking for a new church home.
  • It's official.  Sunday September 5th will be our first church plant home Bible study.
  • We are asking God to bring folks who are mature in the Lord, have servants hearts, and hungry for more of Jesus.  We are asking God to lay a solid foundation so we can build upon it a healthy church.
  • Pray for direction with the English movie club and a Bible study.  For hearts to be convicted of sin and to recognize that Jesus is the only answer.
  • We still need more finances to buy a video projector and portable sound system.
  • Pray for the stronghold of religion to be broken here, and for a hunger for God's word.
  • We will be starting prayer walks in the city soon.
  • We need a building of our own.
  • In all the moves in ministry we have made.  This one is the hardest.  The spiritual warfare has been intense and unrelenting.
  • For God's provision for us financially.
"Let Your work appear to your servants, and your glory to their children.  And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands."
Psalm 90:16-17

If you would like to call us you can do so in one of two ways. We have a computer phone (a Magic Jack) which provides us with an Indiana phone number. People in America can call this number and it is not an international call. If you live inside the 317 area it is a free call, and if you live outside the 317 area code, you only pay a long distance charge to the 317 area code. That number is: 317-683-3517. If you would like to call my cell phone from America, that number is: 011-380-98-056-0726. That is my local cell number and is an international call from the states.

With love from Ukraine,

Mike and Michelle
